We hope to inspire all Greater Racine residents to participate on October 27, in the one-day, national day of volunteering.

Through volunteering we hope to create a more cohesive community by coordinating individuals, businesses, organizations and schools to work collectively on separate or common projects.

On Saturday, October 27, thousands of Racine and the neighboring communities will pitch in together with brooms, brushes and Big Hearts to Make a Difference.

It's all part of National Make a Difference Day — an event that puts volunteers to work in their own towns.

Last year, over 14,000 people participated. This year, the focus will be cleaning and fixing.
